Standing at 5' 7", weighing 150 pounds, and winner of honorable mention at the 6th grade Lutheran school regional spelling bee is Paul Harvey Careful-He-Hasn't-Washed-His-Hair-In-3-Weeks Echols.
He grew up in North Dallas sharing time between homes of two amazing families, the Echols' and the Sauciers.
Made it to Denton in 2004 for film school, changed majors a couple times, ended up with an Economics degree and then started a couple businesses. Need a website?
Finally, in 2013, Denton brought him Isabel.
It was a hot summer evening when we met. Paul had brought a Jack In the Box breakfast platter to Oak St. Drafthouse along with David Samollow who brought his dog Sadie. Isabel was showing a friend a good time. Then, she saw him, no that's a lie, she saw the dog first. Before long, numbers were exchanged and Kazoozles were eaten (feel free to ask).
You could say that were were "hanging out" at this point. This was going to be an exciting night as we were heading to the Dallas Mavericks' game. They were playing the Wizards and well, won 105-95! It was a sign of good fortune because by the time we got back to Denton, we had made things official. (Facebook too)
We're talking about the proposal. A road trip down to Austin wasn't exactly a surprise, we had been on half a dozen of them. We were with our good friend Josh and his lady partner for a weekend of fun. Saturday, the four of us went on a guided kayaking adventure on Lady Bird lake. The guide took us to a little Island where their were supposed to be swans. We found a couple of geese instead but is there really a difference anyways? On the way back to the kayaks, there it was, a diamond ring among the shores' stones. Isabel thought the case was a piece of trash at first and a little longer than expected after Paul got down on a knee. What's important though is... she said yes.
Now, this milestone has yet to pass. That's where you come in. Will you join us for the party!?
Enjoy as much of this hill country weekend along with us as you want!
9/28/18 - 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
The fun will start at the Cypress Room at the Fredericksburg Inn & Suites - After party on Main Street
We need a head count for food and beverage. Please RSVP by the end of August!
We have blocks of rooms at both the Fredericksburg Inn & Suites (may be sold out but check anyways!) or Sunday House Inn. Call and mention the “Echols Howington wedding.” There’s several other lodging options within walking distance too but please act quickly!
That’s it. Now, just get yourself to the hippest hill country party of the year! See you in September.
